Psoralea Corylifolia, Black seed and Coconut oil

Antivitiligoil oil is popular product in natural treatment of vitiligo. I haven`t used it because it so expensive product, but i use the ingredients of it. Antivitiligo oil contains Coconut oil, Psoralea Corylifolia, Black Cumin or Seed and Barberry Root. Coconut oil is one of the best things for the skin and i use it a lot. Second ingredient Psoralea is a very important thing in treatment of vitiligo

Treatment of vitiligo with UV-B radiation vs topical psoralen plus UV-A.

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:

To compare the efficacy and safety of 2 treatment modalities, topical psoralen plus UV-A (PUVA) with unsubstituted psoralen and 311-nm UV-B radiation, in patients with vitiligo.

DESIGN:

This intervention study was designed as a before-and-after trial with 2 arms, in which patients were consecutively included.

PATIENTS:

Male (n = 99) and female (n = 182) patients, who predominantly had skin type III, with extensive, generalized vitiligo of more than 3 months' duration.

INTERVENTIONS:

Two patient groups were investigated. The first group of patients was treated for 4 months with either topical PUVA (n = 28) or 311-nm UV-B radiation (n = 78). The second group of patients, treated twice weekly with 311-nm UV-B radiation, was followed up for 3 (n = 60), 6 (n = 27), 9 (n = 37), or 12 months (n = 51).

RESULTS:

Thirteen (46%) patients in the first group treated with topical PUVA showed repigmentation after 4 months. Fifty-two patients (67%) in the 311-nm UV-B treatment group showed repigmentation after 4 months. After 3 months, 5 patients (8%) in the second group showed more than 75% repigmentation of lesional skin compared with 32 patients (63%) after 12 months. As in other treatment modalities, the face showed good repigmentation, whereas hands and feet responded poorly. No adverse effects were encountered with treatment with narrowband UV-B radiation, contrary to those seen with topical PUVA treatment. The cumulative UV-B dose was very small compared with that of the topical PUVA treatment.

CONCLUSIONS:

According to our results, the treatment of patients with vitiligo with 311-nm UV-B radiation is as efficient as with topical PUVA and has fewer adverse effects.

Psorolea Corylifolia

Psorolea and sunlight that is a very good combination. I apply psorolea oil to my vitiligous places and go to take a Sun 5- 30 min it`s a good start from shorter periods and watch how long you skin tolerate the sun. I havent`t seen results before i started use Psorolea with vitamins and supplements

Black Cumin
Black cumin refers to seeds derived from a plant called Nigella Sativa. These are effective to stimulate melanocytes that initiate re-pigmentation of the skin cells. Black cumin seeds, derived from plan Nigella sativa, boost your immune system and stimulate melanocytes to produce melanin i.e. a brown or black produced naturally in body which is responsible for normal coloration of skin.
I use it like normal body lotion but only in places where is vitiligo spread.

Barberry Root
I don`t use Barberry Root because i don`t it necessary. There is hard to find products what contains it I believe it has put to Antivitiligooil because then you have to buy it and no other products but you don`t need it

Controversial Vitamin C

You probably have heard two very different opinion consired using C vitamin in treating vitiligo. Some say don`t use it or even bevare the food what contains it and some studies says it is helping with treating vitiligo.

What is the truth
My conclusion is this. It`s a little battle against western medicinal vs eastern(traditional) medicinal. I have a huge respect to traditional medicinal and i have learned that there is incredible wisdom what it helds. In this case of Vitamin C i have to say i think the eastern medicinal is wrong.
Eastern Medicinal understand that C Vitamin holds whitening effect and then they believe it`s not good for people who suffer vitiligo. We don`t have to bevare the whitening effect of Vitamin C because many you know that the problem isn`t in the production of melanin , but in the destruction of melanozytes. So i believe that many studies are right Vitamin C is good thing for treatment of vitiligo. Vitamin C is very good for the skin Vitamin C is extremely effective as an antioxidant, your natural defense against free radicals, which are unstable molecules that age the skin, resulting from environmental pollutants, smoking, or excess sun exposure. Vitamin C neutralizes volatile reactions caused by free radicals that damage skin

Good quality C vitamin (ascorbic acid) is best to get from whole food sources. Because the Ascordic acid works synergistically with the flavonoids and it works better with them.

Folic Acid

I Think B12 vitamin and Folic Acid are corner stones in treating vitiligo. In studies there has been proven that Patients with vitiligo show diminished blood levels of folic acid.

There is evidence that vitamin consumption can lead to some stabilization and in some cases repigmentation. Vitiligo patients showed significant improvement in the following clinical studies.
A clinical study describes the use of vitamin supplements in the treatment of vitiligo. Supplementation with large amounts of folic acid (1-10 mg. per day), vitamin C (1 gram per day) and vitamin B12 injections (1,000 mcg. every other week), produced marked repigmentation in eight of the fifteen people studied. These improvements became apparent after three months, but complete repigmentation required one to two years of continuous supplementation.
In another study of people with vitiligo, supplementation with folic acid (10 mg. per day) and vitamin B12 (2,000 mcg. per day), combined with sun exposure, resulted in some repigmentation after three to six months in about half of the participants. This combined regimen was more effective than either vitamin supplementation or sun exposure alone

Vitiligo patiens need massive dosages of many kind of vitamins and supplements and also used long time periods. That`s why is it important to find best high quality sources to get Folic Acid. There is a Few what recommend one is Bee Pollen yeah Bee Pollen is one of the richest natural sources to Folic Acid and it`s cheap and it can be used long times. There can be in one gram of Bee Pollen Folic acid 3.64-6.8milligrams and that is a huge amount.

I recommend to get Bee Pollen near to you. Many who has studied Bee Pollen says it best to you when it is from your own continent. But if you don`t get Bee Pollen near from you there is a good product from IHERB when you are using Bee Pollen from United States choose organic Bee Farm because there is so much of GM plants and that is not a good thing to you.

Vitamin B12

There are few studies where there has been good results using B12 vitamin in treatment of vitiligo. In studies there is also used Folic acid , but i want to address just b12 in this writing.
Most well know study perhaps is from l. Juhlin

Improvement of vitiligo after oral treatment with vitamin B12 and folic acid and the importance of sun exposure.

Source

Department of Dermatology, University Hospital, Uppsala, Sweden.

Abstract

The aim of this 2-year study was to test the hypothesis that folic acid, vitamin B12 and sun exposure could be helpful in treating vitiligo. One hundred patients with vitiligo were treated with oral folic acid and vitamin B12 after being informed that sun exposure might enhance repigmentation. They were requested to keep a record of sun exposure in summer and UVB irradiation in winter. The minimal treatment time suggested was 3-6 months but should be longer if improvement was achieved. Clear repigmentation occurred in 52 patients, including 37 who exposed their skin to summer sun and 6 who used UVB lamps in winter. Repigmentation was most evident on sun-exposed areas, where 38% of the patients had previously noted repigmentation during summer months. Total repigmentation was seen in 6 patients. The spread of vitiligo stopped in 64% of the patients after treatment. Folic acid and vitamin B12 supplementation combined with sun exposure can induce repigmentation better than either the vitamins or sun exposure alone. Treatment should continue as long as the white areas continue to repigment. Further studies are needed to determine ideal minimal dosages of vitamins and UV exposure, as well as treatment time.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9394983
In early of this summer i started using many supplements, B12 and Folic acid after of couple months i started to see results , but only in places where have been best exposure to sun. I have taked before B12 but there has been no results because there has to be combination of other supplements, Herbs and sun Exposure is very important.
Quality of Vitamin B12
Usually i take all vitamins in natural form, but is hard to take the massive amounts of natural Vitamin B12.

What is Vitamin B12?

Vitamin B12 is a term given to a class of water soluble chemicals that share structural similarity and physiologic activity in the body. These chemicals share a common complicated core of nitrogen and cobalt (called cobalamin) but differ in the attachment of other constituent molecules to the cobalt part. While many others exist in nature, there are four types that humans can utilize:
  • Cyanocobalamin (CN-Cbl)
  • Hydroxycobalamin (OH-Cbl)
  • Adenosylcobalamin (AdeCbl)
  • Methylcobalamin (MeCbl)
The Natural Source of Dietary B12
The natural origin of dietary B12 is ultimately bacteria. Many bacteria species produce this vitamin which is then ingested by animals. Humans then eat animal products to get their daily requirements. At one time it was thought that plants also created ample B12 but researchers have since shown this to not be the case. Plants may create B12-like molecules that look like the vitamin but lack and even hinder B12 activity in humans. This vitamin is created by bacteria in the human colon but it's not absorbed and thus is excreted in the feces. In some studies it was found that adequate vitamin B12 was obtained when fruits and vegetables were not washed and B12 producing bacteria were left on them.

Challenges with Synthetic Forms of B12

Cyanocobalamin (CN-Cbl) is cheap and easy to create and thus, the most commonly found form of B12 in supplements. Not found in nature, the challenge with CN-Cbl is that in order for it to have biological activity it must be processed in the liver in a pathway requiring several steps. These steps deal with the attached cyanide and require an important antioxidant called L-glutathione. L-glutathione (a tri-peptide made from the amino acids glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine) is often already in short supply due to its use in other important missions. This process makes the liver work harder so those with impaired liver function may not efficiently convert CN-Cbl to a usable form. Also, while the cyanide released is minute, those with impaired or stressed liver function may possibly experience compounded effects like increased nausea. Therefore, this form of B12 is contraindicated in chronic hepatitis or in pregnant women already experiencing morning sickness. Hydroxycobalamin (OH-Cbl) is another inexpensive form that does not exhibit biological activity until liver manipulation.

More Absorbable Forms of B12

Adenosylcobalamin (AdeCbl) and methylcobalamin (MeCbl) are active forms that are less stable and more expensive but easier to absorb and readily used by the body. Documented research exists supporting their efficacy in conditions like liver disease, sleep disturbances, diabetic neuropathy, and anemia.
Many experts recommend to take B12 vitamin form of methylcobalamin and i think is it best when you consider take years. Best place to buy high quality vitamins at good price is IHERB if you are first time customer use my referal code LKW571

Quality of vitamins and supplements

I Have been reading that many people who suffer vitiligo need how important vitamins and supplements are but there is a very not much not much talk about the quality of vitamins.

96% vitamins what are sold are synthetic and they don`t work so good like the natural ones. If we take like closer look to E vitamin we see a little bit of what i am talking about:
Synthetic vitamin E is not the same as natural vitamin E and has lower biological activity. When vitamin E is made synthetically a mixture of the D and L forms is automatically produced and cannot be separated. This is called DL-alpha tocopherol and, although much less expensive than natural D-alpha tocopherol, is not biologically active. In fact, recent scientific studies have indicated that synthetic vitamin E does not stay in the body nearly as long as natural vitamin E, making it a much less effective protector.

Same kind of problems is in every vitamin and supplements there are big differencies in quality of vitamins. Another thing also is very important in quality of vitamins that i believe if you want get results you have use many kind of supplements long time periods and then they have to be very good quality natural if possible.

in the next writing i take closer look to B12 vitamin what is crucial in treatment for vitiligo.

Healing vitiligo

I started this blog because i am also suffer the sickness called vitiligo. My vitiligo showed it first symptoms when i was 13 years old. When i was 14 i started PUVA treatment but it didnt help me. It was just a hard to all the time have a like sunburn ,itching places in your skin. Today i am 30 years old and many years go that i think that there was no cure for vitiligo but now i am seeing that there is maybe a cure for vitiligo. I am seeing results and vitiligous areas are repigmenting all around in my body. That is why i am starting this blog to inform people from that things what i have learned.

I will talk about many kind of vitamins like B12, Folic Acid , D Vitamin and supplements like L-phenyalalanine and alpha lipoic acid. Different kind of lotions and herbs. Also i think that good quality of food is very important.

sorry my english it isn`t my motherlanguage but i hope that people understand my writings
